New Product Planning/Positioning: Armed with preclinical efficacy and safety data on the use of a molecule in several indications, Health Advances helped
a client examine the trade-offs of pursuing each indication leading to a defined product positioning for the first two indications that would then guide the clinical
development program.
In-Licensing Due Diligence: Health Advances thoroughly evaluated technical, clinical, competitive, and commercial positioning issues for a novel infectious
disease therapeutic as an in-licensing opportunity for a multinational pharmaceutical client who, based on our recommendation, went forward to finalize the licensing
negotiations.
Franchise Planning: A client seeking to expand its leading diabetes franchise sought help from Health Advances to complete a comprehensive review, a
prioritized set of opportunities, and specific action steps for partnering or acquiring products and technologies at early and later stages of development that would
complement the existing portfolio and in-line products.
Portfolio Prioritization: With a significant investment in the siRNA field, our client faced the challenging question of which of the many possible
indications to move into development. We agreed on which indications would lead to a clearly differentiated product profile and determined which other applications
to partner or to hold on to for future development.
Pricing and Reimbursement: As a novel cancer agent was completing late Phase III studies targeted at three cancers (colon cancer, lung cancer, and
breast cancer), Health Advances conducted a detailed analysis leading to the recommended launch price. We took into careful consideration the potential product
positioning in current and future indications.
