Precision Dynamics: In July of 2007, Precision Dynamics was purchased by Water Street Healthcare Partners. Health Advances' due diligence
work for our client focused on understanding the competitive and purchasing environment within US hospitals and the impact of new information systems and
medication error protocols on the utilization of patient identification products.
Catalina Marketing: In April of 2007, Catalina Marketing was purchased by Hellman & Friedman for $1.6 billion. Health Advances' extensive
experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries enabled us to advise our client on the ability to substantially grow this business through
a variety of different investment options. This was a particularly challenging project due to the turmoil in the pharmaceutical industry and a lack of
clarity on how budget cuts would impact the industry's future marketing mix.
Warner Chilcott: In November of 2004, Bain Capital, Thomas H. Lee, DLJ Merchant Banking, and JP Morgan purchased the specialty pharmaceutical company
Warner Chilcott for $3.1 billion. With extensive previous experience in the two key therapeutic segments, women's health and dermatology, Health Advances was able
to support the investment consortium in its accelerated diligence.
Quintiles: Dennis Gillings, founder of Quintiles and One Equity Partners, completed the acquisition of this contract research organization in October
2003 for $1.7 billion. Leveraging our extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug development and a strong client base, Health Advances advised the
investors on the attractiveness and growth drivers for this business by interviewing dozens of current and prospective clients.
